Once I got the battery sorted out, I head out for Campbell River. I don't have any plans for Campbell River but it's a manageable distance to cover for one day. I got an Airbnb room for the night that's close by the beach. I got into town by mid-afternoon, dropped off my stuff at the Airbnb and went around town to run a few errands. Campbell River is a small seaside town that seems accessible for the average person. Yes, the motels are all around $150/night but it's not resort town prices hovering at $250-$400 a night.

I found an amazing coffee shack, Foggdukkers, that's right on the beach.

While I'm not really a beach person, this was exactly what I needed. Later I found a highly rated sushi restaurant and had a nice dinner.

I was pretty tired at this point after the stress of the ferry and dealing with the battery. This mellow day at Campbell River was exactly what I need. After dinner, I went back to my Airbnb and went to bed by 9pm, a miracle for this night owl that never gets enough sleep.
