About 90 minutes after breakfast. Jim's Triumph Daytona died. Fuel pump fuse blown. Twice.

After the second fuse blew, we figured there's a short somewhere and we weren't gonna fix it. So after a while trying to decide what to do, we determined the best course was for Jim to rent a Uhaul truck and trailer and tow his bike back to Raleigh. Being Sunday, a lot of Uhaul was closed. We couldn't get an Uber or Lyft to come to our location. So I decided to loan Jim my bike so he can get to a Uhaul back in Roanoke to get the truck and trailer. He'll leave my bike at the Uhaul and we'll pick it up later.

Then I had a brilliant idea to save us some time, George can take me two up on his 1200GS to the Uhaul to pick up my bike since I brought my set of spare keys. So the two of us went two up 30mins back to Roanoke to fetch my bike. This is my third time going two up and while George is a great rider, that didn't stop me from white knuckling the grab bars. It was fun and scary at the same time. Leaning into the turns as a passenger is pretty foreign but we made it without any issues. We got to the Uhaul, fetched my GS and rode back to meet Jim and Ben at the broke down spot and they were already loading and strapping down the Daytona onto the trailer.

It took the four of us about 45 minutes to strap the bike down and then Jim was on his way back to Raleigh and we were ready to hit the road...at 3pm.
