Loaded and ready to go! Tomorrow, Saturday, June 4th is launch day. I'll be leaving Raleigh with my friend George and riding up to Roanoke, VA to meet up with another friend, Ben. Then the three of us will be together for a few days until we reach Toronto. Then I'll split west and they will circle back to Raleigh.

I'll be riding my 2009 BMW F650GS. I bought it back in 2019 with just over 5000 miles on it. It currently has 28,630 miles today. Projected round trip mileage will be 16,000 miles. We'll see how much I'll actually rack up.

The hard luggage on the bike is loaded to the gills with clothes, extra gloves, rain gear, med-kit, maintenance and emergency tools, water, snacks, and numerous other essentials. Plus an extra dry bag strapped to the back seat is filled with camping gear. I've done two long previous trips and I still feel like I'm packing for the first time ever. Because of the potential drastic weather change up in the Yukon and Alaska, I have to pack for summer and winter seasons. It'll be 85F when I leave Raleigh tomorrow and Prudhoe Bay will be 31F. Let's hope it'll get a lot warmer up there by July!

Current projected itinerary is a round trip of 83 days. Projected date to reach Alaska is July 4th! Will update with entry and photos as best as I can while on the road. Thanks for following me and share with your friends. With enough followers, maybe next trip I'll get some sponsors!
