As I keep moving north east towards Louisiana, I could feel the change in the climate. I'm moving away from the desert heat of the southwest and entering the humid swamp heat of the south. At this point, I'm not that concerned with good roads or scenery but rather with just arriving at the destination. After 175 miles, I finally leave the gigantic state of Texas and enter Louisiana.

From the border, my Airbnb is just a few miles away. I arrive at the house and park in the driveway. I take off my helmet and could instantly feel the thick humidity hanging in the air. The air is like an invisible warm and sticky fur coat clinging to your skin. I haven't felt this sensation all summer. Now I'm back in the South and I better get used to it.
